Oakland Baptist Church is committed to celebrating God's love through his son Jesus Christ. Worship services start Sundays at 11:00am and Wednesday Night Bible Studies begin at 7:00pm.
Services include preaching from the Bible, teaching how to apply practical principles to your life, kid's korner, prayer time, and both contemporary and traditional Christian music.
Our members are our family and we love to spend time together in fellowship.
Our men meet once a month for a Men's Breakfast for a great time of discussion and fellowship.
Our ladies enjoy time together through a Book Club where they meet in other's homes for a time of bonding and fun.
Our Seniors are an important part of our community and they join other seniors from local churches to meet in fellowship each month.
Missions & Outreach
Mission work is a huge part of Oakland Baptist's ministry. We are committed to reaching out to those in need in our community, state, country and the world.
OBC participates in Carpenter's for Christ, a non profit organization that spreads God's love through the building of churches throughout the United States.
Through our bi-annual Children's Consignment Sale Ministry, OBC is able to reach out those in our community that do not have the means to buy clothes, shoes, baby equipment, bedding and toys for their children. This provides a way that they can have like new items at reasonable prices. In addition, our consignors are encouraged to donate their unsold items so that we can maintain a clothes closet that will help families in need or in crisis.
Our WMU groups have daytime as well as an evening meeting times.
Annually, Oakland coordinates and participates in Angel Tree gift giving, a pancake breakfast with Santa, Vacation Bible School and many more outwardly focused mission projects.
