Growing a Loving Church

Missions

Mission work is a huge part of Oakland Baptist's ministry.  We are committed to reaching out to those in need in our community, state, country and the world.

You don't want to miss our annual BRUNSWICK STEW & BAKE SALEAll proceeds go into our mission fund to help others.  Usually held in the Fall - keep checking the calendar and announcements for the next stew date.

OBC participates in CARPENTERS FOR CHRIST, a non profit organization that spreads God's love through the building of churches throughout the United States.

Through our bi-annual Children's Consignment Sale Ministry, OBC is able to reach out those in our community that do not have the means to buy clothes, shoes, baby equipment, bedding and toys for their children.  This provides a way that they can have like new items at reasonable prices.  In addition, our consignors are encouraged to donate their unsold items so that we can maintain a clothes closet that will help families in need or in crisis.

Our WMU groups have daytime as well as an evening meeting times.

Annually, Oakland coordinates and participates in Angel Tree gift giving, a pancake breakfast with Santa, Vacation Bible School and many more outwardly focused mission projects.
